We’re excited to share one of our latest renovation projects, where we had the pleasure of working with a retired couple who wanted to transform their home into an entertainer’s dream.

The Vision:

Our clients had never renovated before, but they had a clear goal—expand their kitchen and living spaces to create a more open and inviting area while making the most of their stunning Alpine mountain views. They envisioned a space where they could host family and friends in style, blending modern comfort with the rustic charm of their surroundings.

The Design:

The challenge was seamlessly extending the kitchen and living areas, ensuring the new spaces harmonised with the existing home while enhancing functionality and flow. Our architectural design is centred on bringing the outdoors in—adding floor-to-ceiling windows to frame the breathtaking views and incorporating natural light into every corner.

Inside, the kitchen became the heart of the home. We created an open, social layout with a large central island perfect for prepping meals while still being part of the conversation. The earthy tones of the furnishings and the natural wood elements tied the design to the Alpine surroundings, while sleek, modern finishes gave the space a contemporary edge.

Overcoming Challenges:

One key challenge was making sure the new extension didn’t feel like an add-on but a natural part of the home. Careful planning and collaboration with builders ensured the old and new spaces flowed seamlessly together. We also had to prioritise energy efficiency, introducing high-performance windows and insulation to keep the home comfortable year-round without compromising on the design.

The Result: The final transformation exceeded all expectations! Our clients now have a spacious, airy kitchen and living area perfect for entertaining. The space feels cozy yet modern, with stunning views of the Alpine mountains as a backdrop to every gathering. Whether hosting friends or enjoying a quiet evening, they have truly embraced the new lifestyle their renovation offers.
